My ADL in .30-06 I got from Dick’s in Feb. for just under $500 will shoot cloverleaf’s at 100yrds all day long with reloads. My reloads are Hornady SST 180’s on top of 45.5 grains of IMR 4064, COL of 3.353. If my bottom rung Remington can shoot cloverleaf’s, then I have no doubt the more...
I used rice once and left it overnight, and it worked ok. But it was apparent that if your brass was really stained it wouldn’t work. My brass was just single shot brass I kept in the cabinet for a few months. I defiantly will look into something better. Rice works in a pinch and if leave it for...
I happen to like the K31 with the darker wood myself, looks more authentic.
Sorry man I couldn’t resist. They do look very similar, so I wouldn’t sweat small stuff. If the average person is not as knowledgeable as you, then pity them, don't take offense.
I, too have one on a .30-06. Several hundred shots and many adjustments, and it has stayed and tracked true. Good scope for the money. As long as you remember it’s a sub-$100 scope I bet you will be impressed.
The Gander here Wichita had Nagants for $129. They seemed to be in good condition, concering the age. I came really close to buying one since it was a piece of history, a cheap rifle, and already was buying a Daisy .22.
I recently brought a rock tumbler from the local Harbor Freight for around $40. I threw about 20 de-primed .30-06 shells into it with a cup of rice, left it for the night and it did a pretty decent job. The insides weren’t very shiny, but they did seem to be mostly free of “soot”. Cheap way of...
When I primed my brass, I measured the depth of the primers. They were measuring at around .009"-.011". Because most recommendations’ were to have your primer depth around .005", I got to wondering late at night if my bolt action would fire them. I figured surely it will, but I just couldn’t...
It might be awhile, I am not scared of a big boom, and I like the potential to hit some past 100yrds with a little regularity. :neener:Whatda think I am trying out for Top Shot? I have no use for a pistol YET.:D
I wish I could buy the beers. Being in downtown Wichita, there isn't really too many people that know guns, reloading, and hunting. I would buy the beers to say thanks and sit back listen to a few stories.
