Mine came with the lpk...but I agree with what others have stated. Very little take up with a crisp consistent break and short reset. Same weight though.
It depends if you're the type of person who enjoys making things or finding out how something works. Did you take apart all your toys as a kid? If so build it...you will enjoy the process. If you like to skip all the wait and get to the end product buy.
There really isn't much that can go wrong installing the buffer tube. You just turn it till it hits the detent and stops you, then tighten the castle nut. Something else I would check is your bolt catch...
^^Agreed 100%. As much as we all love the convenience and pricing of buying online it is killing the brick and mortar stores. In 5-10 years the business will look very different.
These seem like the hot guns right now but I'm struggling to understand why? They're basically a piston AR and a 9mm AR. Am I the only one who is not impressed especially for the $1500+ price tag?
Anyone can set-up an AR to do 5.56/300blk or 9mm and have a floated barrel for half the price.
I never got ammo but almost every time they throw in a range pass...if they have a range that is. Where I lived range time was averaging $20-25 so I always used it.
If you have the patience, and enjoy building things...go the custom route. I'm doing a budget build now with a $500-ish budget and it's not going to be bare bones either. It's almost done and it'll sport the features found on 800-900 rifles.
My daily go-to is Slickguns.com. Browse or search...
My SKS slam fired and did a nice 3-round burst luckily as I was pointing it down range. I thought the bolt was clean, it passed the rattle test, but guess not. Afterwards I disassembled the bolt completely...which is a pain in the ass. Then let it sit in Hoppes for a night.
I've seen an AR15...
I never thought of walmart as a "gun store". No one I've ever talked to at the counter knew anything, and basically functioned as a "picker". A whole bunch of "i dont know" answers. Follewed closely by, are you going to buy it?
