I will probably get one. The recoil isn't bad- even shooting the Blackhills 300gr ammo.
When I did wrap my hand further around the grip it put more of my trigger finger on the trigger than I like to do. But, I did put 3 rounds dead center touching in the middle of the bullseye at 50 yards using...
I have a Ruger Old Model Super Blackhawk with the square trigger guard. It raps my knuckle pretty good unless I wrap my hand further around the grip than I usually do.
I have been thinking about installing a Pachmayr grip set on it.
I thought I had one for it- I inherited the revolver and a...
I can't tell you anything about the Hawken, but I might know something to help your vision when shooting.
I am 53 and the target started getting blurry enough at 100 and 200 yards that accuracy started to suffer. I started using a diopter that stick on my glasses with a suction cup. It makes...
I have several MkIIs that I use in plate matches at 25 yards and Bullseye matches at 50 and 25 yards. I used to shoot Winchester Super-X for Bullseye and Federal bulk 550rd box for plates. I ended up just using the Federal for everything.
For 25 yards it is surprisingly accurate and it is...
Since I would have to remove the fore-end as well as the bolt, and the article linked didn't want to describe the procedure to remove the fore-end I may just give him the part and point him to a gunsmith. I told him I would not go further than I felt comfortable so I didn't end up giving him a...
A friend asked me to look at his grandpa's old shotgun. The slide would move freely- too freely. It wasn't moving the bolt. I looked and the action bar that connects the forearm and bolt had broken in half.
I ordered the part from Numrich but wanted to ask if anyone has taken one apart that...
I just flat prefer the 1911 series of pistols over anything else for .45acp.
Check into a Springfield Loaded 1911-A1. It is a lot of pistol for the money. I have 2 Springers, and a Kimber Warrior, and a Colt Gold Cup NM, and an old Colt Super 38. Of all of them I use an SA Loaded in...
Is there any problem using the Blackhills 300gr .44mag load in an older Super Blackhawk? I inherited this from my father, and he bought it in about '68. I don't want to take a chance on damaging the revolver.
I don't think it will be a problem, but I want to check to be sure this load isn't...
I just looked up the prices on a couple of auction sites and some other dealers. That price, which was for one, is way too high. Around $460.00 is more like it and some were less.
Are they accurate?

The Anschutz model 54 was gone by the time I called this morning.
I have been considering another option. A local shop has 2 CZ American rifles for about $600.00. Most of the matches I will shoot will be sillouette, so that might be a better choice.
