I used to have one in a lightweight frame back in the late 70's. It was an alloy frame. With full power 44 special loads the checkering on the grips would leave an imprint in your hand. Good pistols for the money spent.
I recently acquired a White 50 caliber muzzleloader in a trade. It is a stainless steel Model SG White Lightning inline. The caliber is .504. I do not know much about them but seems to be a quality built rifle. Any insights, experiences, or opinions would be appreciated.
I would consider the Henry .22 lever action youth model. It will shoot any rimfire round, has to be cocked for safety sakes, does not need magazines and is fun to shoot.
The guy I bought it from did the work he said. In any case she's going to the LGS for a checkup. I am still OK with the deal on the rifle. Thanks for your input all.
The guy I bought it from said the pins were missing, but he found them. I have no experience with lever actions. Maybe am incorrect pin shape was used.
It sticks at the very beginning. The piece between the hammer and the bolt. Where the camming takes place is the pin supposed to fit loosely in there or a snug fit. I am beginning to suspect this pin. Is it cylindrical or does it fit the camming area precisely.
I cycled the action without ammo it did it again although not as often. The item in the rear in front the hammer and it's linkage seems to be the culprit,
I have recently obtained 30-30 that shoots fine except that about every 4 or 5 shots the lever gets stuck. I can eventually work it loose. What could cause this occasional binding?
Thanks. I have seen the higher powered illuminators and thought they might help. The larger objective should gather more of the light as well I guess as well.
I am planning on purchasing monocular real soon. What experience and recommendation can any of you make for a unit of $300 or so. Is the digital versions good or not. Right now what I am leaning towards Bushnell 6x50 and ATN 6x50 or 4x40 models. Help.
