I have tried HS-6 in .45 acp and .38 spl and was not impressed. It was inconsistent and position sensitive. I did like it under 158 gr bullets in .357 mag.

I picked up an SP 101 ~7 months ago, and absolutely love it. The extra weight makes it a pleasure to shoot.

I absolutely love finely crafted rifles in high polished blue and fancy walnut, but when I'm going slogging through the swamps. looking for hogs or deer, I grab the plastic and stainless rifle that shoots just as well, and cost 1/3 as much.

I think I may be the only guy left in North America whom does not tumble his brass. I just wash it in a bucket of hot soapy water, rinse, and air dry. Precision rifle rounds may get a little polishing with 0000 steel wool every 2nd or 3rd loading.

I use a taper crimp die on all my copper plated bullets. Just a mild to medium taper crimp, enough to prevent bullet set back. I'm sure you could set up a roll crimp die to work and not pierce the copper plating, if you are willing to take the time and possibly sacrifice a bullet or three.

I keep all of my rifle brass and auto-loading pistol brass meticulously sorted. But, I do have a couple coffee cans full of 38 and 357 mixed brass for light plinker blasting loads

Thank you, gentlemen! I have been to Hernando Sportsman's Club and liked it very much. I attended an Appleseed shoot there a few years back. It's a bit of a hike for me from here in North Pinellas, but most of them are.

I've always been spoiled and been able to shoot out at my Dad's property in East Pasco County, where he had plenty of room, but time and "Progress" have changed that. I'm looking for a range where I can use my chronograph and shoot from prone, so most likely an outdoor range. Any suggestions...

My favorite load is a near max, as published in the Lee and Lyman's books, of Rl-15 behind either a 165 SGK or 168 SMK. I also like BlC2 , and 4064 is well known as a great performer.

I just picked up a new SP101, 2.25" in .357 DAO. I love it. It's the snub of my dreams! I can finally shoot real 357 Mag loads fairly comfortably from a (nearly) pocket gun. But, I don't love the factory rubber stocks on it. They feel squirrely and squishy with full power loads. I can...
