    PLR-16 in .300 AAC Blackout?

Would it be possible for a good smith to rechamber a Kel-Tec PLR-16 in .300 Blackout caliber? I thought this would make a great home defense gun. I've heard others say the gun would be great for that if it weren't for the HUGE fireball and noise. If I could get one in 300 Blackout, use 220...

    Sept 1st 2017 in Texas...

For what my opinion is worth (you usually get what you pay for) Cold Steel (or most anyone's) Sword canes are: First - A serious liability. If one is actually used, even if it's clear self defense there's a good chance the user will be charged with a crime, and/or sued by the perp. It's a...

Most Likely Legal In All 50 States

I carry a fiberglass cane with a brass fritz-style handle these days. When I was younger, I carried a Cold Steel Sharkie which I used only once when someone in a border town tried to take my car. It was very effective. I flew a lot at that time, so I sanded off the stupid shark face so it...

    Just for fun

I've been to their store a couple of times. This "Let's play around at work" is a fairly regular thing. They run a good company, but I've seen them having fun with what they do, as well.

S35VN now available from Cold Steel. I wasn't expecting that...

The Randall copy they made is not cheap but it certainly isn't the quality a Randall Model 1 is (but hand forged is hard to beat.) I don't see the Master Hunter as a copy of the F1, it's a standard type of drop point hunting knife, and I liked my Carbon V MH better than I liked the quality of...

    Any Opinel fans here?

And it's a good thing they are cheap. They're very thin, which makes them very sharp for slicing, but they're also very, very, VERY susceptible to breaking. I wouldn't plan on using one for anything more difficult that masking tape or marshmallows. I know I'm one of the only opponents of...

Buck 110 folding hunter for cheap

Buck has had some great ideas and some less so. However, the classics they have are classic for a reason, because they filled a niche for a LOT of people. Certainly the 110 and the 112 have shown they have what it takes to stand the test of time. As long as they keep up with technology, that...

    About That Handle...

Okay, now on to better news. While going through some old boxes, I found a box of files I was going to use to make knives. I'm clearly never going to get a round to it, and I'd hate these just going to a landfill. The first person to claim this pile can have them. *You must be in the...

    About That Handle...

Did I say I had a really nice knife? I guess that'll teach me to open my yapper. That "nice" kukri broke right at the handle. Guess I should have just gotten a Himalayan Imports Ang Khola.

Basic hand tools, nothing power other than a few cordless things. That's why I'm looking to pay someone else to. Had to pretty much sell everything I had to move to where I live now.

    Custom knife handle

Here's a couple shots. If the brass butt is a concern, leave the thing off, but I'd like to know the slabs are secured to last through me having to kill all the Wight walkers in Game of Thrones, or at lest many years of batoning firewood for my new wood stove.

    Custom knife handle

I've got a nice McCurdy kukri style knife I really like, but the buffalo horn scales get fairly loose and are too slick for my liking. Do any of you have a recommendation on someone who could make a nice set of micarta scales for this? They'd obviously have to be custom made for this thing alone.
