    Common calibers in collection?

So I've been thinking ... is it smart to keep my collection to 'common calibers' or is the more the merrier? Here is what I have: .45 ACP: Full frame S&W 3rd gen (will add a 1911 eventually - no doubt) 9mm: Beretta 92FS and Bersa Thunder Ultracompact 357: S&W Model 66 3'inch (will add +p 38...

How to justify a second G23?

+1 on getting a G27 next, but if you want another 23 go for it! My plan is to eventually have several Glocks with interchangeable mags/ammo secured at different places throughout the house.

Bang for your buck best compact 9 under 400

@jdub102003 - it's roughly the size of a Glock 26/27. Bersa UC9 is a nice shooter too, with it's DA/SA and 13+1. I think of it as a "mini Beretta 92" - My only complaint is that it's kind of thick in the grip.

    Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact

+1 on the Bersa Thunder UC being closer in size to the Glock 27. I have/carry the G27 and my wife owns the UC9. Basically they're the same size, with the Bersa having sharper edges, safety, decocker, and a DA/SA trigger. It's a bit thick in the grip (13+1 I believe) but then again my Glock is...

    Beretta 92 .45?

Have you seen the Beretta Cougar in .45 ACP? They're now sold under the Stoeger name, but you can still find the Berettas out there.

Be sure to keep an eye on texasguntrader.com too! I just did a search and didn't see anything like what you posted ... but you would know best by looking yourself.

Sold my .380, ammo hard to find, expensive

I really wanted to love my LCP. I got an awesome pocket holster, the Crimson Trace, a few boxes of ammo - whole 9 yards - only to sell it after one trip to the range. I was discouraged the day after I bought it. I called all over town, only to learn the only ammo to be had was over an hour away...

    Who carries a Bobcat?

Regarding my daughter learning better on a K frame revolver ... she's 9. I say believe we should teach our children about gun safety as early as possible. I specifically chose the Bobcat for her because she's afraid of her brother's "big" Browning Buckmark ;) Now, assuming she learns to handle...

    Who carries a Bobcat?

I picked up a Beretta Bobcat in .22lr the other day for two reasons: I like having a pocket gun option, and I wanted something for my daughter to shoot at the range. I'm just curious if anyone out there actually carries a .22 pocket pistol. Yes, i know there are better calibers available. I...

    Glock 26 Summer carry ?

Try "appendix carry" with it. I wear shorts/T-shirts and use a Galco "Sto N Go" holster with my Glock 27. It hides so well I sold my LCP since I never really needed a pocket gun with my appendix setup. YMMV.

    Glocck 26 vs Ruger LCR

I have a Glock 27 I carry "Appendix IWB" and I bought a Ruger LCP for pocket carry when I couldn't conceal the Glock. In my experience (and wardrobe) I'm able to comfortably conceal the Glock no matter what. So I sold the LCP and decided I didn't "need" a pocket gun. YMMV.

    Subcompact 9mm with thumb safety

+1 on Bersa Thunder UC 9mm.

Pistol for the wife to use

+1 on the Beretta 92, but also look at the Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact - easy to rack the slide, SA/DA, decocker, fat grip, etc.

Need help finding a CCW pistol for a skinny guy!

Kahr PM40 is tiny, although I've heard it's a bear to shoot being so light. Others to consider are the Glock 36 (single stack), 1911s (as mentioned above), Kel-Tec P-40 (you'll have to find used) and I believe Bersa is coming out with a single stack .40 this summer.
