anyone have a picture of a glock 26 next to an ruger lcr? Looking for a pocket pistol/revolver, trying to compare sizes. I already own a Glock 26 and I am looking for something smaller and lighter for pocket/IWB carry. Thanks
The Ruger is definitely more pocket-friendly, but you do sacrifice alot of ammo (5-shots vs 10+1).
Heck, you can even load the G26 with a 17-round magazine.
I have a Glock 27 I carry "Appendix IWB" and I bought a Ruger LCP for pocket carry when I couldn't conceal the Glock. In my experience (and wardrobe) I'm able to comfortably conceal the Glock no matter what. So I sold the LCP and decided I didn't "need" a pocket gun. YMMV.
You will find the size difference between the G26 and a snubby to be a wash. The snubby will likely fill the role as a pocket gun better because of the shape and size of the butt but at the price of less ammo, lesser sights, lesser shootability, and less firepower. Spare ammo is also tougher to carry. You are much better protected by the G26 in my humble opinion.
If you need something smaller for pocket carry only the LCP or P3AT class of pistol is going to be appreciably smaller than your G26.
