Being something of a MV aficionado... Crockett carried carried the following:
- Pilot Episode: Sig P220 (probably a Browning BDA) and a Detonics Pocket 9 as a backup.
- Seasons 1&2: Bren 10 and a Detonics Combat Master in an ankle holster.
- Seasons 3&4: S&W 645; he kept the Combat Master...
I have an early model S&W 4506 that came with the curved factory grips. I don't hate them, but the straight grips are a better fit for me. A few years back, factory grips could be found just about anywhere for less than $20.00. I have looked high and low and cannot find anything... anywhere...
Solid choices for single stack 9mm:
- S&W 3900 series
- SIG P225 or P6 (prefer the P225)
- Kahr K9
I own or have owned each of these and like/love them all. That said, if your looking at a mid-size pistol, you really aren't saving on grip girth when comparing to a Glock 19/23. Both the...
Incredible price!!!
$225 isn't just a bargain, it's HIGHWAY robbery! Great find! I absolutely love mine, and the other 3rd generation S&W autoloaders I've had and have currently.
My only observation in this and other threads is the loathing some have regarding the squared trigger guard the...
Price not high...
If you run a quick check on 3rd generation S&W pistols at gunbroker.com, you will notice that 400.00 is not high... not with 3 factory mags and night sights. Not sure why, but these guns are going for about what they went for new back in the day. I'm in the market for a 5906...
I've got a 2nd gen Glock 19 that I had issues first time to the range. FTFs and the gun printing low and left kept it in the safe until I did some simple research. I replaced the barrel with a new Glock factory barrel and replaced the recoil spring component.
I now have a Glock that shoots...
Go to youtube... and look up a guy by the name of hickok45. This guy proves that the Glock platform is as accurate as any other platform. The gunrags and their writers are often worth little more than the paper their printed on.
Any pistol that you can CCW can be used for HD...the priority in your strategy needs to be CCW. That said, a single stack 9mm is going to serve you well. Sig P225/P6, S&W 3913, Kahr K9.
This is what I have been seeing as well... $675 doesn't seem to be out of bounds, but I think I will push for $675 OTD rather than $675 +BC and taxes.
I think I am sticking with the 63 rather than the 317 knowing that I will be able to pass on a quality .22 to my daughter (who will be...
anyone...
How does the current production 63 stack up against the air weight 317? Am I better off with the all steel model or is the air weight just as good?
The universal notion that "bigger is better"... or is it "newer is better"...
Two very common that have driven irresponsible spending in the personal, corporate, and government arenas.
