I put on a set of wood grips just like the pix posted by jglcolosprgs and love them. Wouldn't go back. While you can feel the recoil a little more, it's not a big deal for me.

Just thought I would pass along a few links regarding the only area that I think some people wish was better...the trigger. Apex Tactical has just come out with a modified sear that really improves the trigger. Friends says it rocks... I'm on the waiting list for mine. Currently they are...
I don't know for sure but I'm guessing not. I think they just patterned the style/look of the AK mount. GSG does offer the side mount optics/accessories that they make.
The current side rail on the side is plastic but they sell a metal version that they recommend if you add the optics...
Yes and no. The actual barrel is inside a tube. The tube has female threads and the muzzle adapter threads into the tube.
They are not cheap and will run you about the same cost as the GSG5. I had to pay $500.

I agree with Dechard, not in the $200 range for an AK or AR look alike.
I just picked up a GSG AK47 last week. It just hit the market, finally. The GSG-5 is another one to look at but both are going to run at the $500 mark new.

I'm in TN, he's is MI.
If I understand correctly he is eligible to ship it direct to a FFL in TN without getting a...
I think all the M&P are stiff in the area of the slide release. Every M&P I've handled takes a strong thumb to work it. Over time it does get easier, or your thumb gets stronger. :)
I just changed my technique and drop the slide with a slight pull to the rear on the slide at the same time.
