My Local Gun Store is Against Concealed Carry

Definitely agree with that. It's against most movie theater's policy to bring in candy from the outside too, so you can pay $5 for a box of nerds. Doesn't mean I won't bring in the $1 giant sized bag of twizzlers from walmart every now and then ;) If you are CCW properly, they shouldn't and...

My Local Gun Store is Against Concealed Carry

I didn't say it had any legal enforcement whatsoever. I said the store has every right to serve who they choose and not serve who they choose. If they choose not to serve you because you are CCW and it is against store policy, you can't MAKE them sell anything to you.

My Local Gun Store is Against Concealed Carry

You people DO realize that local law has absolutely nothing to do with the shop's prerogative, right? Being a business, they have every right to serve whom they so choose, and every right NOT to serve whom they so choose. You can rub any law you want in their face, if they choose not to serve...

Please Recommend a First-Time Defensive Pistol

If you think that's big, take a look at IFBB pro Kai Greene. http://muscle.persiangig.com/image/CharlesGlass/new/CharlesGlass-KaiGreene-2.jpg He used to live in a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn. He once said in an interview that he has to wear extremely baggy clothing around town because...

Ok....Why Do People Carry Without One In the Chamber..?

I understand that proper training and well maintained equipment render a firearm +1 completely safe, HOWEVER, simply stating that NOT having a round in the chamber renders a firearm completely useless is 100% ignorant. Is it one more step to take? Sure. Can racking the slide be done quickly...

    More Evidence Against FMJs

Not sure if it's been posted or not, but are there any real world statistics regarding injuries/deaths involving over penetration? Not someone shooting wildly and hitting a bystander, but actually going through partitions, vehicles, BG's, etc. and striking unintended victims?

    Official State Firearm?

    New York's of course

    State law vs Company policy

Most (if not all states) are hire-at-will. Meaning, they are not obligated to hire you, and are more or less doing it as a favor. This also means they may fire you for any reason whatsoever. They may fire you because you took too much water from the cooler, it does not matter. That being...

    Alcohol and CCW?

Seems to me like you very well succeeded in getting into a pissing match, considering you've been going back and forth with Sam for the last 3 pages with almost zero input into the original topic, other than arguing about what was said, what was implied, yadda yadda yadda. And we wonder why...

    My story-

Hats off to you. For most (and certainly HOPEFULLY) it's a once in a lifetime situation. If someone tried to rob you every day, then you could worry about getting it perfect. Since that's not the case, the best you can hope for is to train, train, train, prepare yourself, and hope you're...

    Keeping a Round Chambered

Actually, the fire department can, and will, gain access. And if you interfere, you will be taken away in handcuffs. Assuming of course this area is pertainable to the situation (it is inside your house or attached). If not, you're good to go. I am a fire fighter in NY and we've gotten...

    Rant: UPS! :(

UPS is notorious for that. I've never really had a problem with Fed-Ex, however. My fiance breed birds and orders 40 pound bags of seed at a time. Since we both have jobs (outside of the birds) no one is home during the day. Even WITHOUT a request for a signature, for whatever reason...

    Gunbuster T shirt

I'd imagine you'd still be legal. T-shirts like that are nothing more than novelty items. Kind of like the t-shirt in Happy Gilmore: "Guns don't kill people. I kill people." I don't think they'd consider him a murder suspect. ...funny shirt though ;)
