Enjoy! I have the 642-1 (ordered mine without the lock) good and reliable, but I fine +Ps can be a handful

Ooh! Ooh!

Love those Hogue Tamer grips. I have them on my 642. Makes it actually fun to shoot with some (non-+P) loads, and still fits in most of my front pants pockets just fine.

They really expand the utility of the airweight revolver compared to the boot grips. The boot grips that came with mine are in the old grips drawer, never to return, maybe.

If you want to sell your factory grip let me know. I have a 442 and a 637 I gave to my son. The 637 was used and came with a really nice wood grip he didn't like and so I gave him my rubber grip and wish I still had a rubber grip back on my 442. I have a model 30 I could put the wood grip on.

I haven't shot my 442 or the 637 and really need to do that. I made holsters for both and a speed loader strip carry pouch. But I like the 442 in my front pocket.

Which grips do you like the best? I have the Compacs but thinking of also getting Hogues.
I like the Compacts and Hogue’s for shooting so I left the Hogue’s on one 442 and put the Compacts on my Bobbed 37. I put an original set of Uncle Mikes Boots on my pocket 442.

Deltaboy1984, enjoy your new M442.

I like mine as well as my M642 and M437. My M442 came cut for moon clips and I liked the modification so I had the M437 and M642 cut for them as well. It provides some carry options for ammunition.

Very practical little revolvers IMHO. I have had a similar 642 for several years, and have carried it a lot. Recoil with 38 +P in these little light weight alloy framed revolvers feels less objectionable to me than 9mm in the heavier steel framed S&W 940.....ymmv

Dest grips for SD I have ever found. Helps with full house .357's on down. Small flat and allows full concealment.

Your Hogue grips sort of remind me of an old pair of Rogers Combat grips I have. Very ergonomic but a bit longer for concealed carry when compared to the factory boot grip.

I have Badger Custom grips on my M442 in Rosewood.
