...and thinking about getting a 40cal.
No, don't do that. Get a 10mmAuto, they burn more powder.

Somebody gave me 700 rounds of M1 Carbine in a swap for a tin of 7.62x54r. He is a cop that a widow wanted him to dispose of the ammo, since some was reloaded and the Auction wouldn't take the ammo. He asked if I could use it, I said "sure."Very sound advice on many levels.
Also.... Have you ever made (or invented) a purchasing decision based on the fact that you could reload for "that"?
"I could save a fortune reloading for that compared to factory ammo...."
Good stash. Our reloading room is a literal store practically. This is just partial of the powders that can be used for 9MM. Hard to fit 40+ in the picture and still read the labelsView attachment 842232
Isn’t shooting just a means to make more empty brass to reload?
Well, to me, that's 1/2 the fun.
I enjoy reloading, but I also really enjoy ridding the world of those dastardly evil items ...
Like paper plates, tin cans, splatter targets, tannerite, empty laundry detergent bottles ...
Oh, oh, oh, almost forgot ... full, but cheap, 2 liter bottles of soda pop.
Love it when they go spinning in mid air.
I have a few open containers out, and the remainder in magazines as recommended by NFPA.So, um, nobody pays attention to the fire code?
I don't have as much powder as others, but I have a pretty good stock of supplies overall...
