ACOG LEDs Red vs Green and Battery Life?

On the Trijicon MRO the difference between red and green version is significant, with the green having only about 20% the battery life of the red version.

Is this the same thing with the ACOGs (TA02/TA110)? Trijicon's website lists the same number (12,000 hours on setting #4), but I wonder if it's a mistake.

They have to be using the same LED tech, right?

No, they would be different LEDs.

Supposedly, Green is more easily distinguished by the eye. So in theory, you could run the green at a lower power level than the red. DEPENDING ON HOW TRIJICON marks their dials, the green could easily consume more power. I myself always use amber but I don't have any ACOGs.
