I picked up a gently used Savage Axis 223 that had one on it and am planning on changing to a different scope. Looking to sell this one to fund what I want and would love to know what the Leupold would be worth. It appears to be in almost new condition and has great glass obviously.

If it is a newer scope (2012 or newer) it is a decent scope and would probably be a good match quality wise with the rifle. If it has click adjustments it is a 2012 or newer scope. It the adjustments are friction adjustable it is an older scope.

Unless you need something completely different I'd have a hard time letting it go. It won't bring much used and anything any better will cost a LOT more. You might find someone willing to pay $150, but a new VX-Freedom is only $200 and they are a step up in quality compared to the discontinued VX-1. I'd say $75-$100 is more realistic. It would be worth more than that to me even if I only used it on a 22.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I obviously was hoping for more, but it is what it is. Maybe I’ll just put it back on and try it out and see how it does.

They are solid useable scopes, but not fantastic at anything, and competitions getting stiff especially on the lower end. Especially considering leupy offers better glass at similar prices.
That dosent detract from the fact that its a good scope, and light by any standards. Personally I buy older leupys when i see them cheap, they either get sold on ebay, or i give them to friends who need scopes.
