I bought an FN PS90 to get me through a temporary period during which I could not legally carry a handgun, but could generally carry a long gun, loaded or unloaded, concealed or not. My local gun shop had a pre-owned, but almost-like-new PS90, but no Tavors or other fairly compact bullpups, so I “settled” for the PS90. Well, to make a long story short, I love this little thing.
I do not love the price of the 5.7x28 ammo, or that it can be difficult to find. (I have not been tempted to hand-load, as the components are so very tiny, and my aging hands a bit clumsy.) This is such an easy weapon to shoot, however, that little training is needed to maintain skill.
The background for my original motivation to buy a bullpup: I had planned to get a Texas License To Carry A Handgun, early enough that it would be in effect before I retired from the PD, but I retired suddenly, several months earlier than anticipated, and it takes time for my former employer to “process” my application to carry as a honorably retired peace officer. So, while I do not feel that I must be armed with a firearm absolutely everywhere I go, there are times that I would rather have the option of a firearm, near at hand.
