Ran across this on ARF and thought it worth noting since I've been timing my jump into the purchase of an MSAR AUG-type:

Highlights:
Place:Rat Worx USA
Deal: MSAR E4 (AUG-type, takes AR mags) railed for $1300 and optic for $1350. STG-556 (takes AUG mags), latest variant railed for $950 and optic for $1050.
Duration: Now through January 1, 2010.
Place: FNH USA
Deal: $250 rebate for the FS2000 and $200 rebate for the PS90.
Duration: Only good for those that purchase between November 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010.
Place: Steyr Arms
Deal: A Mail In Offer for Steyr AUG A3 purchasers for a $233 hard tactical rifle travel case.
Duration: Only good for those who purchase an AUG A3 between October 22, 2009 and December 31, 2009.
Place:Specialist Gun Shop
Deal: "Blow out sale" on Steyr AUG A3s, "call for details". Pre-sale price was $1995, so a big sale could be awesome.
As an overall fan of the bullpup rifle, despite its faults, it's good to see that they are rapidly approaching affordability. Some of that may be due to the current downturn in the EBR market, but also due to some manufacturers having filled the "gottahaveitfirst" crowd willing to overpay, and also to perhaps ammortising some R&D and machining costs making later runs more affordable.
In whatever case, I'm stoked:
