Looking good
Thanks LUCKYDAWG13. It's not perfect but it's leaps better than the imperfections that were there. It's a fine well worn work suit for me to take to work at the range feeding it some mid-range pills from the bench.

I'm with the others.
$30 OTD is a Great deal.

Some dash 2s are pinned & recessed, mine was.
Stupidly traded it on a 1911.

But I get more use of the 1911 than I got from the 66.
{I also have a GP100 & SP101 in 357}

sr1971, You did wonders on that finish. One of the reasons I prefer stainless is that it can easily be refinished by us end users. I've had my 66 for about 46 years now, and at one time had polished it up so much it looked like bright nickel. I pretty much wore it out with Magnum ammo back in the day, and had S&W overhaul it. S&W redid it back to the original type brushed finish. I carried my 66 every working day for years. Just nice little revolvers. Enjoy yours.

I bought a S&W 66-2, just like yours, same grips and everything, a few years ago. It was in nice condition and was tight. I found a nice set of S&W grips, and a little polishing with semi chrome, it looks very good now. I think the 66 is an excellent revolver. You did well.
