AC515BB9-C333-4F1A-9FFE-C22E6BD319F6.jpeg I just found out Wilson combat makes a six round magazine 47OXC-HV and I contacted tech-support to see how long it is but they said because of restrictions on movement they couldn’t go and measure it. I’m hoping somebody has one and can measure the back of it so I can see how close it is to the factory Detonics magazine I have. The picture shows the factory magazine at about 3 3/4 inches and a long side of it is a seven round Wilson combat officers magazine for comparison. Thank you for any help you can provide

I have no Compact Wilson mags, but in their full size line-up, the seven round 47 and the 8 round 47D are the same length.

I suspect this 6 round mag https://shopwilsoncombat.com/MAGAZI...-PROFILE-STEEL-BASE-PAD/productinfo/47OXC-HV/

excepting bumper pad, which can be swapped out, is the same length as this mag

The way Wilson gets 7 (and 8 in a full size 47D) in the Compact mag that is the same length as their 6 rounder, is through use of a different follower and a modified spring. The native capacity for a Compact mag is 6 rounds.

I also know very little about Sentinel mags, but I believe they are shorter.

A note from the Wilson page

Note: The Sentinel is 1/2" shorter in the grip frame than a "Compact" frame. The Sentinel magazines are not compatible with a "Compact".

If you order directly from Wilson, they have a pretty forgiving return policy.

Or, better yet, contact them and ask. Their CS has been great when I have had questions.

It's not a wilson mag but I have a mec-gar officers 6 round mag. It has has the same style metal base as the detonics mag. The overall length of it by your measurments would make it 4 and 1/8 inches. I don't know if that is any help.

I have 3 Mec-Gars that are exactly the same size and fit as the factory Detonics and they work really well. For all the trouble I read on the internet about some Detonics not functioning well, I would have never guessed because the one I have goes through everything I put it in regardless of round and magazine type. I just figured if the 7 round officer's magazine sticks out a little, maybe the 6 rounder would be flush or near flush.

Also, I did reach out to Wilson Combat before I asked here and got this response - "Due to movement restrictions in the various departments here, I'm unable to give you an exact measurement for the 47OXC-HV magazine.
I can tell you that it's designed to work in Colt Officers' sized pistols, with the basepad protruding just enough to allow the heel of the hand to drive and lock the magazine into place in the frame.
The 609 is designed to be a Colt-like, flush fitting magazine.
Thanks for your interest in Wilson Combat."

Given the 609 is less than $20, i'm going to give it a try.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for and it what the Wilson 7 round Officer's mags stick out like. I'll just stick with them since I've already got two.
