Thank you for the offer I’ll keep it in mind I am in the midst of emailing a few more questions to the manufacturerOK...think what you're looking for are these. The pic on the box does not show the second cannelure.

And this is the 200 grainer on the left with the 180 grain XTP on the right. The 200 is allox coated. If you're interested in them PM me your address and I'll get a hundred on their way to your door. They're .358 dia and around 12 for hardness

78 dollars for 50 is steep. I would definitely find another bullet that shoots the same for practice. Then save the A-Frames for hunting. For the .357 Max, these are the .358 bullets I would look for:

Stay safe.
Ya, they are premium bullets for sure but they will handle what is needed for a .358 pistol bullet at the speeds the .357 Max will generate in a Contender.78 dollars for 50 is steep. I would definitely find another bullet that shoots the same for practice. Then save the A-Frames for hunting.
Sierra makes a very simular Silhouette bullet the material says good for large game. I've not tried them.I've got a bunch of Speer .357, 200gr TMJ bullets.

I used to shoot them in my Max Contender before I sold it. I shoot them now in my Marlin 35 Rem.
The 200gr SSP is about the same as the Remington Core-Lokt 200gr made for the .35Rem. A good bullet designed for 1600-1800fps, max. I prefer the Remington’s lower cost. The 200gr LBT WFN-GC is still a better bullet, lower cost, and it’s available.Sierra makes a very simular Silhouette bullet the material says good for large game. I've not tried them.
