Nice! The LVT is just a heavier barrel than a standard 10/22?
Out of 30+ brands/weights/lots of "cheap" bulk ammunition tested, CCI SV consistently produced around 1/2" groups at 50 yards during the 10,000+ "real world" testing - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...22lr-on-the-cheap.898035/page-2#post-1230405250yds, 10 shots each. One set CCI STD
Good shooting at 25 yards, but 50 yards is the generally-recognized distance to shoot .22 LR groups.
Note in this target, the center ring is the 9 ring, with the 10 DOT being about the size of the mark made if you hold a mechanical pencil vertically, and drop it straight down to bounce on the paper.
I get what Picher says.
I can shoot one hole groups at 50ft with my pellet gun, one hole at 25yds with my .22, ragged hole with a occasional flier at 50yds.
The fliers don't show up at 25yds.
I shoot scored paper matches, I shoot steel plate matches. A clean score on either is different.
It's not being a purist, just a realist.
So true.If you’re shooting 1/2moa at 25yrds, someone casting a stone about 50yrd shooting doesn’t have a leg to stand upon.
Anyone can play that game.
After Volquartsen trigger kit and bolt work/pinned CNC machined bolt, 50 yard groups shrank similar to my 25 yard groups. If you really want to know how a 22LR is shooting, the targets need to be at 100yrds
Frankly, some of the most precise 22LR shooting in the world happens at only 50ft
Lazy folks shooting in their backyard play around with 50 yard groups. If you really want to know how a 22LR is shooting, the targets need to be at 100yrds.
Anyone can play that game.
Frankly, some of the most precise 22LR shooting in the world happens at only 50ft, fired with monstrous Annie’s and Win 52’s. Note in this target, the center ring is the 9 ring, with the 10 DOT being about the size of the mark made if you hold a mechanical pencil vertically, and drop it straight down to bounce on the paper.

Dispersion is dispersion. If you’re shooting 1/2moa at 25yrds, someone casting a stone about 50yrd shooting doesn’t have a leg to stand upon.
10/22 can be accurized to shoot well.
My 10/22 Collector #3 with fullsize modular stock and Volquartsen trigger kit
LVTs are very nice. I picked one up a little while back. Here's a 5 shot group. Can't remember but someone posted 50yd rimfire targets. I thought my 10/22 LVT could do the so I bought some official targets. Had to test fire some guns for this weekend matches, weather was beautiful cept for the wind.
50yds, 10 shots each. One set CCI STD one set CCI MINI-MAG.

Thank you. The full-size length-of-pull stock does help with shooting. The ghost ring sights, no. And factory picatinny rail had to be replaced with 20 MOA rail so not a plus.I really like that "Man's Best Friend " rifle. I'm jealous!
