Happy 10/22!

It wasn't until this afternoon when it hit me, and I realized that today is 10/22. Then I thought of THR and the expected 10/22 picture thread. I can't believe that there isn't a lot of pictures yet. My 10/22 looks different than what was seen here last Oct 22nd. It formerly had a 20-something year old el-cheapo BSA 2-7x on it that always worked well and was problem free. Just wasn't as optically bright as most other higher end stuff. This past summer it received a Vortex 2-7x scope that came off my CZ-455 when it got a Tract 22 Fire 4-12x scope that I got from another THR member. The Vortex was a nice improvement in light gathering and resolution and all I need now is a lower set of rings. Just used some rings I had here and put the new rings on my "dead of winter" project list for Jan., Feb., March. Here's what the 10/22 looked like last year, . Here it is now with the Vortex and just a bit too high rings. .. Put the 2-7x BSA with its "old school" Weaver rings still on it, back in its original box just in case I ever decide that I need a functioning scope for a .22. It still works good but the optics aren't the best. Happy 10/22 day!

I wanted to shoot mine today, but my range is closed due to skeet and trap shooting. it'll be another day...
