The "BABY BEAST" says: "Happy New Year to you all". See ya in 2024

You might say he was protecting a career investment. He knew where his parents were from.

He fit the part well from a ‘central-casting’ point of view and was theatrically convincing but he was also a bit of a fraud. Liz “Pocahontas” Warren comes to mind.

Maybe a bit but not the same as Elizabeth Warren. He actually lived the life. Everything he did was for or about Indians. Even tho he was white he was more Indian than a lot of full blooded Indians.

Well yea, not Warren tier misrep. and I always liked Iron Eyes. He never did any harm and made tears in that good anti-litter commercial, too.

Oh yeah that terrible vacuum system. Didn't know they still had it in '97. My only complaint with my '98 is that the hubs are full time, and it costs a lot to convert them.
I replaced the vacuum system after we took a camping trip out to the Canyonlands, Needles district over Elephant Hill, the Silver Stairs and later Pucker Pass. It was about half reliable, low range 2nd is no way to run those trails.

Never finished it? Bet it snorts pretty good.
It's finished... I used Laurel Mountain barrel brown, whereas the top gun is blued. That is it's second barrel, the first was browned, but now resides at the bottom of the English Channel after a sailing trip across the Atlantic.

Dang! Therein must lie a story.

Nothing too exciting... I sailed over to do the Fastnet Race in 2009, and since guns are tightly regulated in the UK and since the barrel is considered the S/N part there, I replaced the barrel when I got back to the States. We sailed by a Portuguese Man-o-War jellyfish every 10-15 minutes, so there were plenty of targets to keep from boredom. Given the 3D movement of the boat and the targets, I didn't get many hits.

When we stopped off at Horta, in the Azores (a territory of Portugal) I declared it to the customs agent... and was invited rabbit hunting with pellet rifles on his uncle's farm a few days later!

That's a pretty good little story right there. 👍
