What 45 acp bullets are you using

I mainly shoot LSWC in my 1911. The RN's I have are from Barry's when I shot at a indoor range. I consider a +- 0.005" normal for a lot of low cost bullets. With the LSWC I seat off the shoulder and never measure OAL.

When i use cast. It's from Summers's enterprises. And i use plated from Accura outdoors.

For 230/gr FMJ / Ball

I have been using Delta Precision.

I purchased several thousand years ago and am still using them up.

Speer actually has two different 230grn bullets... the plated ones, the CPRN bullets, are crap. The TMJ bullets, which don't seem to be available at the moment, are much better. ...and I'm with you... Winchester QC stinks at the moment. I used to buy case quantities (60# boxes) of the 230grn Winchester FMJ bullets, they were great bullets... but that was the Old Winchester.

At the moment, I've got a bunch of RMR FMJ 230grn bullets... they seem to be working well enough. RMR is supposed to be releasing in-house made .45ACP bullets, but I've not seen them just yet.

Another one to look at is Xtreme bullets. I've used them in 9mm, where they did very good, and I just scored some in .41... for the .41MAG... and they have been VERY good. If RMR doesn't pan out, I'll likely hit Xtreme up for my next batch of .45 bullets.

Acme 200gr HiTek coated LSWC.

Feeds just fine in both my .45’s. No leading.

I have piles of Missouri, and went to shooting only the lee-452-240-tc. I have also shot a pile of sns casting 230rn.

For the most part, I use 230 gr RN bullets in my 45 ACP loads. It really dies not seem to matter. I’ve used jacketed, plated, cast snd powder coated.

A couple years ago, I bought a Colt Gold Cup that would feed semi-wadcutter bullets. I’ve been experimenting with them in that gun.

Missouri coated has worked well for me. But, OP is looking for jacketed or plated, right?

If jacketed is the desire then zero is my preference.

Oh ya, the tc-tl. Works so well. Creative sizing and they shoot good out of 45 colt. So clean with auto comp.

I have thousands of 200 GR 45ACP Missouri's that are cast and lubed and are very accurate. These are a H&G # 68 clones. I am reloading RMR jacketed bullets in 9MM and if I were to go jacketed in 45ACP it would be RMR.

18K bullets isn't enough for you?

I load Zero for most everything 45 auto and 38spl. 230 and 185gr JHP, 185gr and 200gr SWC. The Hornady XTP are pretty good too.

Yeah, me too. I bought Xtreme and Speer years ago. I got a couple thousand 200gr cast from a buddy who had 50gal drums full of them from years back. Those are almost gone now.

If I were looking today, I would look at Xtreme plated or Speer lead round nose. Natchez, Midsouth, Precision Reloading, Midway (if you have to), and I think both have direct sales as well.

Rocky Mountain Reloading 230gr. FMJ. No issues

When I'm in a casting mood, I cast 230 gr. RN's from a Lee 452-228-1R mold. When I'm not, just for general shooting, I buy the 230 gr. FMJ's from RMR bullets. In fact right now my Dillon 550 is set up to load these bullets. For SD loads it's a Hornady 230 gr. XTP at a shade over 1000 fps.

Though coated, I am a big fan of PC Bullets….

Berry's 230 plated, if I ever get around to loading the 1000 I have.

These have worked well for me:

My own cast, using 2 Lee and one Lyman mold.

Usually whatever's cheapest but I really like Acme Bullet Company's 230-gr "Lipstick" coated bullets
