I have been loading Armscor 230gr FMJ from Wideners. Basically a GI equivalent load. It works in all my 45's. I have gotten away from plated bullets in my handloads. I'd rather shoot real jacketed bullets or good cast bullets.
Nothing wrong with that at all. I have used Berry's and Extreme and use only plated in my 9mm loads but this thread isn't about that.I prefer using plated/jacketed bullets rather than lead, a bit more expensive but my choice.
I ordered from them for 357 bullets when I could not find zero... cost more not better.I haven’t seen any recommendations for Everglades ammo . I just received 500 of there 230 gr round nose plated 45 cal bullets and they seem good. The shipping was fast and they were affordable. Anyone else try Everglades?
Walkalong, what load for those 175gr ACME's, if you could. Thank you.ACME 175 Gr SWC

I am using Missouri 185gr SWC Button style Hi Tek coated , it is a old Hensley & Gibbs style mold super accurate bullet they also have it in a plain lead version not coated I get them from Graf’s .I am currently loading Winchester 230gr FMJ-RN. The quality control is poor. The nose of the bullet causes the COAL +/- delta to be to great. I want buy 500-1000 PCs in bulk. I would like a TMJ if possible. Can't find them. I have found Speer copper plated and Berry's. What are you using and where are you buying?
Thanks
