What 45 acp bullets are you using

I prefer using plated/jacketed bullets rather than lead, a bit more expensive but my choice. Currently working with a stockpile of Xtreme 230gr. I like to order their bulk bullets that come in steel ammo cans so I know they’ll make it to my door. Had an order arrive once & only 5 bullets remained in a damaged box.

I haven’t seen any recommendations for Everglades ammo . I just received 500 of there 230 gr round nose plated 45 cal bullets and they seem good. The shipping was fast and they were affordable. Anyone else try Everglades?

Nothing wrong with that at all. I have used Berry's and Extreme and use only plated in my 9mm loads but this thread isn't about that.

I also work PT at a very large outdoor range that on the weekends will have all 22 benches full at the 25yd pistol range. During off hours I have access to that berm. Last time out I took out 160lbs of lead in just 40 minutes. So all these cast bullets cost me is the gas to get there and the times and energy to render down the lead and recast it. I also enjoy doing it all.

I ordered from them for 357 bullets when I could not find zero... cost more not better.

I bought 500 45 230 gr plated from Everglades for $89 free shipping. 500 45 230 gr fmj from zero was $98.90 . Plated works fine for me when I don’t have time to cast any so I went with Everglades. Just another option for the op.

Watching this one! Years ago I purchased 8K Rainier plated 230 grain round nose for a deal I could not pass up. They fit my needs well and I am just using up my last box. I have used Extreme before in other calibers and will look into the others mentioned.

I am currently loading Winchester 230gr FMJ-RN. The quality control is poor. The nose of the bullet causes the COAL +/- delta to be to great. I want buy 500-1000 PCs in bulk. I would like a TMJ if possible. Can't find them. I have found Speer copper plated and Berry's. What are you using and where are you buying?
Thanks
I am using Missouri 185gr SWC Button style Hi Tek coated , it is a old Hensley & Gibbs style mold super accurate bullet they also have it in a plain lead version not coated I get them from Graf’s .

Almost exclusively 185 gr. and 200 gr. lead SWC. But occasionally some jacketed Sierra HP in the same weight.
