Happiness is...

For me happiness is another 1800's single shot rifle. I'm addicted to them!

those look SWEET!

Yep. We took our daughter and a few friends to the range when we were putting our son's scout troop through the Rifle Merit Badge. The girls shot much better than the boys. One of them is now on an ROTC rifle team.
Coached lots of junior shooters through our club's DCM prgram and as a rule, the girls were quicker to learn & better shots than the boys.

My best shooter is a senior female, with two other young ladies (also seniors) not far behind. Shooter #2 is a freshman that I hope will be the foundation of a solid team for years to come. After him, I will have some work to do to get some others up to competition level.

The most recent comp we were in was won by a 4-female team from the central valley town of Selma. Those young ladies really kicked some butt!

Stay safe.

Happiness is... the smell of wet woods and burned powder and blood on the last cold day of rifle season.
Happiness is... the flutter of wings and the boom of guns and the sweet smell of cedar and sage on the wind during a covey rise on a frosty November morning.
Happiness is... a crackling fire and coffee and Hoppes #9 on a winter evening after a successful hunt... don't matter for what or if you killed anything.

Need I go on?

All sounds awesome but the crackling fire, coffee or bourbon, take your pick as either work for me. Conversation with friends that are family or eve family around that fire.
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Don't forget the pipe full of good tobacco and lit with a burning pine bough pulled from the fire.
Regretfully, I gave up my pipe in 2005. That is, I "practically" gave it up - I still light it up (with a burning pine bough) whenever I'm sitting by a campfire with a hot cup of coffee. ;)
Not a smoker but aromatic pipe tobacco is good
A .45/70 Marlin Guide Gun in the wilds of Alaska!
Just the wilds of Alaska would work.

Getting out of bed in the morning despite the creaks and cracking. Knowing I have been blessed with another sunrise.
Don't take any of it for granted

All good my friend 👍

I forgot one, and maybe the best of all:
Happiness is... the boom and clack of an old Winchester pump and the smell of fired paper shotgun shells and damp woods and the sound of a hound on a tree in the last bright but fading light of a February evening.

The smell of a fired paper hull brings back so many sweet memories for me.

Being able to pretty freq. hit the 8"x10" gong at 200 yards, --with iron sights--, especially if somebody is there spotting, to point out where the Missed Shots go: right, left, below....
68 year-old eyes. That little 200 gong is the Closest they have in the "rifle gulley" which extends with regular, mostly Large gongs out to 500 yards.

PTR-91, two imported FALs, Springfield M1A Standard.

Happiness is another gun safe - even if I strained my back when hauling it in 😅 Now the back is healed and there's again plenty of room for all the old toys, and for some new ones that should be on their way during the late winter or spring.
