S&W 629 deluxe 3" Barrel OAL 6.83", is that correct?

Good morning everyone. Before I go blowing a bunch of money on a S&W 629 deluxe with a 3" barrel I want to confirm its OAL. S&Ws website says that it is 6.83" in length, is that accurate?

It seems really stubby which sounds great, but I just have a hard time believing those numbers to be accurate.

Thank you for replying, it is so surprising to me that it is actually that short overal. I thought for sure it was a typo on S&Ws website.

I am sorry I am not trying ro be rude, but I just gotta confirm we are on the same page. You are saying that from the back of the grip to the tip of the barrel is really 6.83"?

My bad! You are correct! The angle skews the view of the tape, but I can assure you the length is 8 & 3/8” with the grips I have.
