I may have a Mark problem.

What I don't get is how someone has such a nice pistol for 19 years and NEVER shoots it!?!?

It's a travesty I'm about to go rectify right now. 😁

‘I‘m embarrassed to say I get it, I won’t tell you how many unshot guns I have and how long they have been locked up.

There were times I only shot once or twice a year. In that time period I had bought other guns that I was more excited to shoot.

After all, there are only so many guns you can shoot in an outing.

Funny. I also thought the thread title was a reference to Mark_Mark. Like you accidentally bought a pristine .32-20 Hand Ejector when you stopped at a corner store to grab a Diet Pepsi or something…
Lol. Yea, and in your excitement you forgot all about the Pepsi. Gotta give a bloke credit, he comes up with some good ones

this Thread is about @NIGHTLORD40K and his Mark problem, Mark is cool! but Mark is currently out of pepsi money until June!
All good, I don't trip on thread drift. Lol.

Well, the Ruger is well broken in now. Shot it back to back with two of the other Marks and a couple Colts.
First round was a dud (cheap Aguila), but after that ran like a top. As expected, SV produced the best groups, though it did feel like it was barely cycling with the CCi stuff. Could be some dried grease in there slowing it down a bit. The other Rugers cycled fine with both flavors.

Now Ive got a good excuse to do a thorough strip and clean....😁

Worst ammo so far is Fed Auto Match! I can’t get that stuff to run

Nice Score!
I swear you are right, I have aNiB stainless MKII from the early 90's when Ruger was still sending them out in cardboard boxes. Its gotta be unfired because there is not a mark on it and not a single spot of carbon or brass in it. I think the Ruger MK series was kind of like S&W M36's in that a lot of people bought them and just put them away in a sock drawer or up on a shelf in case it was needed someday because I see more old NiB examples of those guns than most others

Hit the show today to offload a couple I wasn't in love with. Sold 'em the moment we walked in the door for asking price, so now I'm strolling around with a pocket full of cash....

Was a good show, best selection to be had in a while. Lots of old revolvers and milsurps. Prices between reasonable and silly stupid. Pretty decent crowd.

Nibbled at the hook on a few, but nothing I couldn't live without. On my way out the door when I passed a fella walking in with a gray 90's Ruger box under his arm. He opened it up, "Unfired since I bought it new, $400."
"Sold!" I said.

Ruger Mk2 Target Red Eagle, 7" heavy taper barrel.
Included all the original goodies including Ruger scope mount and 2 red medallion magazines.

I don't have a problem. I can stop whenever I want.
Really.
I swear. 😁
Mark II Target, exactly like mine.

What??? No stainless? Do you have something against stainless? It would appear that you will have to add at least one stainless member to you herd to prove you don't have a "thing" against stainless. Seriously, thanks for sharing. Lots of us are just jealous. At the top my list was always a stainless "slab side," just never got around to adding one.

Nothing against them. Had a 4" stainless years ago and haven't run across another good one since. 😭
The Mk3s are gross, but a stainless Mk4 would be pretty tempting.....

Ruger should do a Lipsey Mark_Mark 22/45 Special Edition
Ive had two of the Davidson "Great Eight" 22/45 (first version frame- UG LY).
They did one on the reg metal frame too, and those more sought after.
