Ruger Stainless Redhawk w/Leupold 2x scope (the story behind this is a riot).
Ruger Single Six w/xtra 22 mag cylinder.

Remington 1100, 12 gauge LH
Browning BSS 12 gauge

Remington 581, left handed bolt, right hand action.

Some I hope to get back. Others, I know why I sold them. Some, it's not the gun I miss, but an era it reminds me of. An era that cannot be recovered, but with the gun's help, it can be remembered.

I felt like humming Willie Nelson's tune as I read throught the list.

You have disposed of more arms than I own. . . .

::whistles::

That's quite a list. I was goin' thru the list thinking WOW, then "Llama" stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm glad to read that this was one that was not missed.

At least you cherished the memories with those fine weapons. Very impressive list.

That Colt Pre Gold Cup National Match sounds quite interesting! :)

Traded this Belgium Pidgeon grade Superposed plus a sizeable amount of cash for a .22 bolt action rifle.....(sigh) Sure miss the Superposed, but the rifle was mint, very rare, and hard to come by.

Colt Diamondback, 22 cal, 4 inch bbl.
Colt Diamondback, 22 cal, 6 inch bbl.
Colt Python, 6 inch bbl.

You gave up two Diamondbacks in .22 cal, and a Python? Are you MAD? Shame on you!

I've never sold a firearm... I've passed on buying a few that I could kick myself over.

I pawned a Blue Colt Python 2.5" barrel while in dire straits in college and forgot about pulling it out. I found the ticket two days after I could have gotten it out.:banghead: Plus, I only got $200.00 for it.:banghead: :banghead:

Guns I've let go

Old Colt SP-1 from about 1980;
Nice Ruger 10/22 from early 1980s;
One of the very first Auto-Ordnance semi-auto Thompsons from 1983 (nicely blued and very nice wood on them back then). I sold them all for Nikon camera gear that mildewed in my closet during the insufferably humid summer of 1986 in Front Royal, VA.

Sold - Colt Stainless 1911 - needed the money for my new family. No regrets.
Sold - Ruger P-97DC stainless slide - big as a Tiger tank but sure put the bullets on point-of-aim. The "dumb" part about that deal is that I threw in 5 ea 10 rnd mags and a holster. I could have parted things out and made a better sale.
Sold - 2 Kimber TLE's - one blued / rusted / refinished. If I had not been so pissed off that it rusted, I should have kept that one because the refinish in polymer/ceramic desert tan coating turned out uber-cool. The Stainless one just felt heavy on the carry and I'm looking at possibly buying a Springfield Scandium instead.
Traded - One Armscor Stainless 1911. Nice gun - again heavy on the carry.
Traded - One AR-15 20" stainless barrel - M1S upper, RRA lower. Nice gun just nose heavy. Ended up with a Bushmaster.
Traded - One Marlin 336 (bought used but excellent condition). Since I hadn't taken it out of the safe for a year I decided to trade it off for a Ruger GP-100 6" bbl. Good trade for me, but now I find myself looking at Marlin 336W's in the Walmart gun cabinet window again.
Traded - one Jennings 9mm for $100 credit on a Glock 19. I hope the Dealer doesn't hold a grudge on that one. :)

Colt Detective Special that had had 6 rounds through it when I bought it. However, the rent was due...

FN Mauser varmint set up. Maple stock with ebony fore end and tip, tapered bull barrel in .243 Winchester, Bausch & Lomb Balvar scope in 6-24X with match target mounts. I've since learned that the scope was worth about twice what the rifle was worth, and the mounts were worth almost as much as the rifle. That was a total brain fart, I should'a kept that one.

Remington 700 ADL .30-06 that shot sub-MOA out of the box. Another brain fart.

WOW!

The more I read, the more convinced I become that I should only buy guns I need and want and plan to keep FOREVER. I don't ever want to find myself asking "why oh why did I trade/sell my xxx away..." Of course, I hope the rest of you will turn fickle on your firearms and keep them moving so I can have a chance of snapping up the deals...
