Tell me about your Stinger models?
The Stinger models have been out for awhile now. And I am wondering what the THR members/enablers thought about there Stingers???
I REALLY like my Stinger in 38. It is the aluminum one, not the steel RS. I wanted it light and thin, which is what they deliver with this model. Very well made (as Bond stuff is), nice that it came with thin and thick grips which was a nice touch.
Took a while for me to find it but Bucksnort got some in and I jumped on it. Bucksnort is also a great shop to do business with. Then, I got it in the window for the $50 rebate which I didn't even know about when I bought it, so that was really icing on the cake. But wait, there is more
I got the rebate 7 days after I filled out the form with Bond, not 3mns (or not at all) like a lot of rebates which really impressed me.
Also, I pinged them about a Stinger barrel in 327, which may or may not happen, but that answer was near real time rather than weeks to get back to me. It would be a bonus for me but not a deal breaker as 38 is what I really wanted it in. One downside I guess to the Stinger line is that the barrels and grips are not the same as the other things in their lineup. Even between the Stinger and Stinger RS, the barrels don't swap between the 2 models. So, if you want a lot of barrels you may want to go with another model from them. Looks like the Stinger is 380, 9mm, and 38. Just looked and 327 is available for them now for the Stinger RS. So, hope they make some for the Stinger.
So, for me, the Stinger in 38 is excellent! I'm now likely to order one of their Bullpups from Bucksnort as I was so impressed the entire experience.
