What would be a good choke for 00 buck and foster slugs? Some say for slugs nothing tighter than imp. cyl., but I don't know.
Wow! That sucks. My friend shot a foster through a full choke and cracked the barrel for about 10 inches down from the muzzle of a beautiful auto 5 browning 16ga.
These stories are around.I say imp cylinder, skeet, cylinder bore, nothing tighter than modified.

Always seem to relate to OLD guns. I sometimes wonder whether these stories aren't really an OBSTRUCTION in the bore. Probably SOME of them are.
You're not gonna crack an un-obstructed Mossberg 500 barrel shooting a Foster slug through a full choke.
You can use whatever choke you want for buckshot or lead slugs.
It won't hurt the gun.
Bore diameter of 12 gauge is 0.729"
Experiment with YOUR gun and see what works best for YOUR application.
