Anybody have a use for a .243 barrel probably meant for an old Sako?

You can't say that. I bought a brand new Ted Williams 30 30 barrel on e bay. Then I found a matching rifle with a badly pitted barrel. Badly pitted barrel won't shoot cast or jacketed past 40yds if 4 inches matter. But with the long Hornady 170 it and I shoot deer target vitals at 75 with open sights. No barrel changing needed. A new leftover barrel found me a new best project

I thought no normal person would buy some random barrel off e bay. I'm now normal or have heard of another abnormal person. Wish others would chime in.

Believe me, we are not normal.

When I saw review for BCA cold hammer forged 20" upper produce 1-1.2 MOA groups at 500 yards, I was intrigued (Because factory Ruger 10/22 18.5" cold hammer forged barrel produced 1/2"-3/4" groups at 50 yards for me with CCI SV) - https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2023/12/15/bear-creek-arsenal-bc-15-side-charger-review/

I already had 20" fluted barrel upper and 18" match heavy barrel upper I got at great prices during Black Friday/Christmas sales with the plan that I could just swap out barrels with 16"/18" BCA CHF barrels (But likely, any extra barrel will quickly become another AR build). I have quite a bit of AR parts inventory and tell my wife they are "spare parts" ... (I mean, who buys 10 sets of "enhanced" trigger kits as "spares" )

How many have to chime in before it’s normal?

I posted to quickly. Barrels. Random parts. Yard sale springs. Barrels… coffee pots to rob parts to try to Mickey Mouse a timer on the reloading bench… might be something to do with liking to tinker…
