Not wanting to get my hand slapped for being disparaging, I merely want to note that, like Kleenex, some terms have become generic. Ruger's first pistol was called the Standard Model. They later brought out two versions with target sights and called them Mark Is. After the end of the a standards run, all new models carried Mark designations, like II, III, IX. Had many folks come in the store to sell a "really nice Mark I" when it was the plain Standard. They both are getting scarce.
