Let me know where to send the money please. Also, we need a connection to YouTube...if we're going to put something out there to connect to current/budding/not-sure shooters, most of today's young people "connect" electronically, and only read "paper" products because they must, or their parents have it lying around. A weekly or daily message that can be put into a podcast would keep the masses informed.
In addition, a website that is not 2A-centric, but sympathetic and popular (think MoveOn.Org) where the faithful and converted can meet...this would be good.
Finally, here's a poster, or an ad: picture of Zumbo on the left, picture of Tom Sellect on the right (with permission of course). Between is text: One of these people is real. One is a fake. One believes you are smart enough to defend yourself. One does not. One believes you should be free to choose. One thinks you need to be told what to do. Can you tell which one is which?

In the time one spends arguing between fellow gun owners, going to other sites and getting all worked up - that time could have been used to write a letter, send a email or something productive for Freedom.
Yes, we should always be vigilant and keep tabs on our enemies - Do NOT allow yourselves to be distracted from the objectives of Freedom.
Tyranny wants folks to be distracted, easier to divide and conquer, do not fall into these traps.
Instead take the offensive, and make Tyranny spend time, energies, defending against WE The People.
Nothing on THR you really want to post a reply to:
- Make up a list of media in your area that can be put to use in a mass email / letter campaign. Newspapers, Radio and TV.
-A list of Elected officials from City levels on up in your State. One never knows when this email/ brick and mortar list may be needed.
-Ask someone you know involved in RKBA - if they could use some assistance.
It may be something as simple and addressing envelopes, licking stamps, or taking fast food and coffee over.
Productive, not wasting band-with playing into Tyranny's play book and getting argumentative with fellow gun owners on THR.

The idea is to get all types of hunters, shooters and collectors- all firearms enthusiasts of any kind- to put aside petty differences and details that are small but divisive; and to come together in HUGE numbers for political action. We are looking to have representation from all possible forums.
With the strength that only large numbers of people can provide, we want to send the message that we will no longer tolerate any erosion on our freedoms to own the firearms of our choice and to use them for all legal activities. The huge numbers we need can only come from uniting ourselves when a cause presents itself. This nidus, as of yet unnamed, will make an efficient and convenient way to send a nationwide alert to all internet firearm owners when we need to make an impact on events.

Conflicts in my schedule, my sincerest apologies.
I like simple and do not really think we need to re-invent the wheel. Meaning there are images that in my opinion that will work as is.
I have one in mind and am awaiting permission and feedback.
Okay, being honest, we do not have a lot of money committed and most likely any more money committed will be dependent on what is decided.
Black and White ad is less money than color. Still I feel the image I have in mind is powerful in message. Message covers AWB-II, Hunting with a "evil black rifle", Politics, a lady defending herself not only from physical harm, also Tyranny.
Who has a newspaper they are familiar with, location would do some good and they can take the Donated monies and take care of this?

What would work I think is an ad a week for, pick a number, say the next four weeks in one of the major newspapers seen daily in the Washington area and eastern seaboard. That's where these "legislators" are.
Washington Post, NYT, USAToday for example.
A different ad each week in either the main section or in the weekend magazine.

What is the target audience? If the goal is to get power brokers to notice us, then the NYT, LAT, etc., are the way to go.
If the goal is to get to fence sitters, I think we need to go after local papers.
What is the dominant newspaper, weekly, etc, in your local area?
Some of Oleg's images would play very well in the alternative weeklies. I know in my peer group the weeklies are the only paper that anyone reads.

Good ad, but sometimes I'm of the opinion that "any publicity is good publicity."
I like the pics of the gun owners, but not the pics and names of the gun haters. We are telling the gun haters where to go and who to support. I think we should focus on the good guys.
