I managed to stay away from these evil black rifles for more than 20 years. I decided I had to have one after the Dems took control of Congress again, and my stinking 580 series Mini 14 couldn't hit a standing groundhog at 100 yards. Now, I have BRD so bad, I built one. The top one is a Bushmaster lower with a DPMS heavy barrel, the top is a Double Star lower and DTI upper.
 
I recently picked up a S&W MP15 and a bushmaster 97S shortly thereafter, Having had so much fun w/the mp15--mixed up wolf/sb/rem /brown bear ammo in same mag/alternate mags and not a single problem in +/- 800 rounds; I feel a need for an additional AR...is it really necessary or do I have BRD?
 
It's not as bad as Surplus rifle syndrome. My latest attack resulted in the purchase of a Isreali based FAL. Before I had even recovered, I spotted a M-96 Swedish Mauser.
 
Nalioth, what exactly is that? I saw one just like it at my local shop but didn't have time to look at it very close.
 
I had a roll pin turn into a complete AR almost all by itself.. beware of spare parts!.

It's a WASR-2 rifle in 5.45x39mm.

Of course, the ones from AIM don't look anything like mine, I'm afraid.

InterOrdnance used to sell the Wieger stock sets (before they started selling the STg-2000 series rifles) and that is the buttstock in my pic. Tapco Saw grip, isreali railed forearm and a Vortex flash hider.
 
ah, the early symptoms began to hit me, and now I have an olympic AR almost in the bag.

Just bought a Rock River AR-15 223 with 16.5 bbl and telescoping butt stock with the removeable handle peep sight....got warne QD rings and put a 3-9
Nikon Monarch in it for shooting at running jacks....use as truck gun on my ranch that I cruise around on....
 
The Black Rifle is an evil misstress. They take all of you money and just leave you wanting more!

I started by building one, then another, then I redid the first one, then built another... Now I'm building a .50BMG on the AR platform. It just never ends!
 
Nice ones DMK! I, too, have been afflicted with the disease and am planning my first build. Is that a DD rail on your top rifle?

I have since put the muzzle brake back on, since I cant find a brake I like. Its right hand instead of left. Hopefully for Christmas, Ill be picking up a M4gery.
 
This disease is highly contagious. Shouldn't there be a warning in the title? I've sworn up and down hundreds of times that I like bluing and nice wood, and yet here I am feeling the first twinges of BRD, all because of a shameless disregard for quarantine procedures.
