OK, the attached pic shows the parts after field strip (without separating recoil spring/guide rod/barrel from slide). As you can see, one too many pieces fell out - and the Kel-Tec manual doesn't mention it either. It's that little squarish piece - yes, that's the ejector (see the missing spot where it goes?). Pic #2 below shows it half-way slid back into its place on the left slide rail. There is a little dovetail-ish grove into which it slides in and out easily. The slide holds it in when the slide is on, so I see no reason why the gun should not work just fine with it being left like this. In fact, I shot about 15 rounds through (only) immediately upon purchased, and it worked just fine (other than a couple of jams, which I attribute to a little new gun siffness). However, OTOH, the manual making no mention of this has me a little concerned. Do you think it's broken, or just not adequately secured? How do you suppose it was/should have been secured into place? And would you:
A. Superglue it,
B. Just slide it back in (loose) each time after field-stripping, or
C. Call Kel-Tec/send it back??
Any other suggestions/comments? Thanks. BTW, I'm pumped about this gun. I can't believe how small it is. I can't notice any difference dimensional between it and the P32, other than being slightly thicker.
