OK, the attached pic shows the parts after field strip (without separating recoil spring/guide rod/barrel from slide). As you can see, one too many pieces fell out - and the Kel-Tec manual doesn't mention it either. It's that little squarish piece - yes, that's the ejector (see the missing spot where it goes?). Pic #2 below shows it half-way slid back into its place on the left slide rail. There is a little dovetail-ish grove into which it slides in and out easily. The slide holds it in when the slide is on, so I see no reason why the gun should not work just fine with it being left like this. In fact, I shot about 15 rounds through (only) immediately upon purchased, and it worked just fine (other than a couple of jams, which I attribute to a little new gun siffness). However, OTOH, the manual making no mention of this has me a little concerned. Do you think it's broken, or just not adequately secured? How do you suppose it was/should have been secured into place? And would you:

A. Superglue it,
B. Just slide it back in (loose) each time after field-stripping, or
C. Call Kel-Tec/send it back??

Any other suggestions/comments? Thanks. BTW, I'm pumped about this gun. I can't believe how small it is. I can't notice any difference dimensional between it and the P32, other than being slightly thicker.

Thanks all. Well, Flyer, actually my "gun guy" see he would contact KT for me; so he did - said he spoke with a sharp gal who is an armorer ("the" armorer?) at KT - don't know her name. Anyway, she said "Yep, they do that." It's not a problem, apparently, since the slide holds it in during firing. Just wish the owner's manual would mention this fact.

As for KTOG, I subscribed to that group in order to post there per y'alls suggestions, but before I could figure out how to post (I'm only familiar with the HR.org type of BB), I began receiving many many emails, and became very frightened. :) Since one of my goals in life is to reduce emails, I quickly unsubscribed. Maybe I'll figure it out.

"I wish I had such problems.
My money won't buy a P-3AT at any gun store or web site I have found." :( Sorry to hear that. Give it time. I got lucky and the two that the store had did not last the day, me being one of the two purchasers. $249 + tax.

BTW, after frequent jams the first 3-4 mags (say, 1 in 4 shots), it seems to be jam-free now - it was just a little stiff. And of course, you can't limpwrist with this pistol. The recoil was pretty amazingly mild - can't tell any appreciable difference between it and the P32 - due to the locked breech of these. Very acceptable accuracy. At 10 yards, but for one flier (usually), I got about 4 - 4.5", 6-shot groups, semi-rapid fire, freehand. Plenty good for defense work (shooting my way to my long gun :) ).

Futo, KTOG.org uses the exact same BB software THR uses. Are you sure you didn't subscribe to the Yahoo group?

Go to http://www.ktog.org/vbulletin/ and see for yourself.

Blackhawk, Hmmm. Yeah, I tried to get on KTOG, but I said I first had to be a member of Yahoo, and forwarded me there, and then upon registering at Yahoo, (and having to pick a stupid username, as all my standard ones were already taken), I began getting emails for each and every post made at KTOG, flooding my inbox, so I assumed that this was the only way one "subscribes" to the action at KTOG. Registrations, and emails, and passwords, oh my! Where's my dunce cap?.....

kel tec customer service is nothing short of awesome. I suggest you use it.

Seriously, my cousing bought a sub 2000 and realized his glock 19 mags wouldn't fit as the gun was designed for glock 17 mags. Kel tec modified the gun and shipped it back to him for FREE!.
