At my range, they have an old, old shotgun hung on the wall with a barrel about 12 to 15 FEET long.

1in,1 1/2",2",2 1/16",2 3/4", 3",3 1/16",4",4 1/2",4 3/4",5", 5 1/2",6",6 1/2",7 1/2", I like them all sizes I guess.

Perhaps I can come in 2nd place as far as barrel length is concerned....

My revolvers are 3 1/16" and 4". Looking to add a 6 incher to the collection though.

This appears to be a 10" barrel on a S&W "Registered Magnum" but several members at the S&W Forum got very angry and abusive when I posted it. I guess not everyone appreciates art.

4". Was using it for work. That's what they required. Figured out it's a great length to carry, though!

C&L- It was meant to be funny but a couple of guys got really pissed. I mean they sent me some venomous comments. I think they are taking themselves WAY too seriously.

BTW- I also received three offers to buy the gun...

I can't see why anyone would get mad at such a thing. I have looked and drooled over many of the 10" S&W model 29 guns for hunting and silhouette shooting. Although I think they were actually 10 5/8".

In fact, I have lately been looking at a 12" model 629 for the same purposes.

The problem I have is that there is far too many schweet wheelies out there I want, and the lack of funds just isn't helping any.

Of course, been eyeballing those darn 12" Taurus guns as well, maybe in .218 bee...maybe.

But for now, I have to live my little shorty model 617

19.5 inches. Did I win? Jim
What make and model is that may I ask? I was aware of several 18" "Buntline" wheelies out there, but the 19.5" has me stumped.

Of course, I would love to run across one of those special made Danny Vermin specials...the 88 Magnum :)

Saxon Pig, I have stopped posting on the S&W forum for the most part due to grumpy old men like that. Anyways... not a revolver but I have a Thompson contender with a 14in barrel. I wonder why they just didn't make it a 16in so it could have a stock like a rifle if desired. When I was a child, I thought the 15in Dan Wesson barrel was real cool.

A few folks there do take themselves "WAY too seriously". I guess they have that need.

I wondered where you've been Moonclip. I still hang out there but post less than I have in the past. I probably fall into the "Old Men" definition but hopefully ain't too grumpy. :scrutiny:

The longest handgun barrel I have is 6.5", so no need for me to post a pic...nah, I'll do it anyway. Someone has to come up short.

S&W 29-2

Nice pinto, nice length. I never did like the 8 3/8" S&W's or 8" Colts like the Python though I did have a "grumpy old man" friend who did. His last gun purchase before he died was a 8 3/8" P&R 629.
