If the time comes, Uncle Sugar knows where to find me.
I've been filling out 4473's for a LONG time. He doesn't need to surf the guns boards to see what I have.
That said, I don't post pics because
A: I'm just a private person by nature, and don't post much personal information at all.
B: The pics I took for insurance purposes are so bad I'd be embarrassed to post 'em anyway:)

do you know how much time it would take for me to get them all out of the safes?

i post pics of my guns because alot of them are custom rifles, it may give other people ideas for their next project & its fun to offend the purists by hacking up my milsurps

I haven't disclosed everything, and have a posted a couple of pics. That being said, since I bought everything here in CA, they already know everything that I have.

If the .gov decides to go around confiscating guns, there are lots better ways to do so than by browsing internet forums and tracking down everyone who's ever posted a picture.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

"The sad fact of the matter is,we're getting dangerously close to the point where we may need to,once again, "...take ARMS against a sea of troubles, and by opposing, end them"."

We are? I guess I missed the memo. Oh well. Could you forward a copy to me? ;)

"The next gun ban will be house to house confiscations under martial law."

I hope they are more efficient than the Post Office.

I belong to another internet forum for guitarists. These guitar collectors/players take great pride in their hobby and their gear. Everyone posts pics of that stuff all the time. There's at least one guy who has more than a million dollars in gear, and he's posted pics of it all. He has also posted enough information to be able to track him down.

None of the guys there believe that posting this stuff to the net is dangerous in any way.

Why should we here behave any different? Guitars can easily be more expensive, and worth more than Guns.

The bottom line is, we enjoy a legal and fulfilling hobby, and aside from paranoia, posting pics of our gear is one way to share the best of our hobby with others, and no more dangerous than posting pics of guitars.

For example here's a pic of my guitars, which are worth a lot more than my guns:

DSAPT9 :

I'm proud of my guns and believe the public should be more aware of the hunting uses of all military weapon - just like you.
Where we differ is displaying/bragging about your arsenal to other gun enthusists. What's the point? We, THR'ers - agree with you already.

Rugerlvr :

"Guitars can easily be more expensive, and worth more than Guns." But.... not worth more that the guns attached to an F-16! So there!

Aside from what the government might pay for such a weapon, have you checked out the current value of a 1959 Gibson Les Paul lately?

Hint: It's about $250,000. :what:

I post pics to enlighten other users as to what they can do with their stock firearms.

Besides, if anyone cruises forums for guns to confiscate, they will most likely go for better guns than I can afford :)
