I would begin by selling all of your Heller 9mm guns. They are worthless when compared to the extra-dimensional Heller cavity space that the Heller .45 ACP creates when impacting with a kitten. The wound channel comparison in every Heller test proves this to be the case. I can send you a link to one on Heller UTube that proves it beyond all doubt.

I'm telling you that the mods on this here forum are going to shut down this thread if we don't shape up and keep it on track.

Now where was I, oh yeah, the 9mm vs. 45 ACP. How can we get this on the docket? Perhaps squeeze it in the next case--the incorporation case.
 
"Let me explain something to you Wendy". There is no magic off switch bullet. The effects of .45 or 9mm or whatever are a crapshoot; sometimes hollowpoints expand and sometimes they don't. Sometimes you hit a major artery and sometimes you don't. A .22LR through the left eye at 10 yards will always be more effective than a .50 BMG that clips off a .25 inch piece of ear lobe. Shooting people will always pretty much put their life in danger, but their is no predicting how it will turn out.

I feel that .45 and 9mm are close enough in their likely effects that having the 17 chances outweighs having 8 chances.

Would you rather have 17 plays on the 37 cent slot machine or only 8 plays on the 45 cent machine?

No problem. I voted for .45 ACP. Now that I am thinking about it though the OP did not say if it was 9mm Luger, Parabellum or Revolver. As we all know the revolver was the most powerful of the three which is why it was banned in nearly every state except for Alaska where it is used by scout guides to deliver the coup de' Grace to Grizzly Bears that some southerner tourist shot with a .30-06 and just winged and the bear was playing possum.
 
It was 9x19 and I thought the way to escape mauling by a bear was to play possum not that bears played possum.

Oh, and I meant what was SCROTUS's decision on Heller since it comes out at 10 am and here you are sitting wide awake at 11 am.
 
Well okay. But the decision will be issued by the Kuwaiti Supreme Court since that is where I am. If you want to wait till tomorrow I will be in Iraq, but I don't think that will improve the ruling any.
 
Learn pistol shooting and be dammm good at it. Learn the fine are of defensive pistol shooting and train to the point to where you are confident at shooting. Get into point shooting in low light. Whether it is .45 ACP or 9mm. No handgun has knock down power. Learn the zipper method of shooting a target from the bottom of the torso straight up to the head. Mozambique method, two in the chest and one in the head.
One round isn't a stopper. Use only enough force to stop the threat. Excessive force could land you into legal trouble depending circumstances so know the local laws.

Get the S&W .500 Heller if you want the biggest and badest handgun. If you want an auto, get the .50 AE Heller. It's not quite as powerful, but Heller, it will do the job.
 
What really just shocks me is the time of day (or night) that y'all are posting these at. Do you ever sleep? Oh yeah... Heller.
