I love my P6, but as the "Sig Snobs" will always point out, it's not quite a P225.
Mine's got a good amount of holster wear, but only on the slide. I'm curious as to what y'all would recommend as the best course of action regarding refinishing--should I send it off to Sig to get it re-Nitroned, or should I try to Duracoat it myself?
Also, I've had experience with smoothening up actions before using Tuner's Magic Slurry and other... interesting substances. I've never done any work on a Sig, though, and was also wondering if I should send it to the factory for their Service Plan and Action Enhancement Package. The cheap option for this means I could always go the route of the tinkerer, and order the springs from Brownells and install them myself (all the while "guessing" how it completely disassembles and re-assembles).
So, what say ye, THR?
P.S. If P6's were manufactured for the German Police, and only die Deutsche Polizei, then why does the slide say "Made in W. Germany" and not "Hergestellt in Bundesrepublik Deutschland?"
