Not cheap, but very comfortable. I like that it puts the clips "outside" the gun and spreads the load around a bit. The clips are also interchangeable with Comp-tac units, so you can go with less obtrusive clips if you ever intend to carry with a tucked-in shirt.

Comp-Tac CTAC or Minotaur if you like kydex. Milt Sparks for leather.

My vote goes for the Comptac - MTAC. It is comfortable, affordable - but not cheap, well made, solid 1 year warranty, and the customer service is absolutely top notch. Plus you usually get it within a week.

I've had mine for about 10 months and it has served me well. I can tuck my shirt in if needed and at the 4:00 position, it really disappears on me. I have the standard clips as well as the V clips and with the V-clips you really can tuck your shirt and nobody has a clue.

The only thing I wish it had was a spare mag holder attached some way, but that would probably be too bulky.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago for my CZ-75 Compact. Ordered it on Sunday, and it arrived that Friday. So far no complaints. I'm still getting used to an IWB, and it feels like I print like a madman (especially tucked) but trusted sources tell me it's pretty good. Also, they're very "tweakable". You can adjust the hooks which allows you to modify the angle and height.

Have you tried the IWB thing yet?

Most men find it comfortable and concealable, but women are shaped differently and it might not work for you.

I recommend you experiment with this position a little bit before you spend money on an IWB holster.

You can stick the pistol in a tight pair of jeans "Mexican Style" to see how it works for you. Put it in the same place and at the same angle that an IWB would hold it. Use a good belt to support the weight.

Now walk around a bit and move like you would during your normal day.

Does it lay flat against your body, or stick out? How does it fit under your arm when you walk? Can you draw it? Does it fit under normal clothes or will it require special clothing to make it conceal?

You might not want to run around out in public without a real holster securing your pistol, but you will be able to see if this mode of carry is suitable for you.

A woman's waist is higher than a man's, and her hips are rounder.(Thank goodness!)

This usually puts the pistol in a position where it's either sticking out like a flagpole or almost in the armpit.

Neither of these conditions is suitable for comfortable carry, ease of draw, or concealment.

IWB only works for her with an appendix holster and small gun.
She uses a Colt Mustang. When she really feels like she needs a bigger gun, she puts a shoulder strap on her Wilderness Safepacker and carries it like a purse.

I carry an XD9sc. I got this IWB holster from Kramer leather today. I'm not ready to review it but I will say it's comfortable. I can't re-holster w/ one hand, but that wasn't an issue w/ me. Once I've had it longer I'll post a review of it.

If You're Not Already Sure...

...at what position you will carry the pistol, I strongly encourage you to read my Holster Selection page, with an emphasis on the section on Belt Holsters for Women.

If you are one of the slim women who can carry in the FBI position, the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 is an outstanding design for a pistol that places a lot of its weight in the butt, due to the use of a staggered-column magazine. However, for most women behind the hip is not an optimal carry location and the rake or tilt of this (and many other designs) is intended for use behind the hip. The rake must match the location on the belt where you will wear the holster.

My wife designed an IWB holster for women that has become quite popular among women with an hourglass figure. It was designed to work with a woman whose wide hips and narrow waist make a man's holster uncomfortable. We run a small business doing custom holsters for concealment.

That grandfather oak stuff looks pretty solid. Does anyone else notice that practically all of the holster sites do not have Witness, as a brand, listed as what will fit their particular brand of holster? loop tells me (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=371406) that most anything that fits a sig p220 or a Beretta 92 will fit the Elite Match, but I'm still a bit skeptical. I'll end up getting one for either already mentioned. I just thought it was weird that Witness always gets left off of the list.

I understand, in today's climate especially, backorders are a fact of life. However, I am STILL waiting for a Don Hume holster I purchased from gunner's alley at the begining of December. My cc was charged, per their policy....then.....nothing. I had to email them a month later to be sure my order was recieved, and again in 2 more months, when i STILL hadn't recieved my order. My last communication with them stated my order was estimated to go out April 17th. I basically had to pry any updates about my order status out of them, and feel its wrong for them to charge my CC, and then not bother delivering a product for 1/3 of a year after they've recieved payment for said item. Supposedly, it was a delay at Don Hume, but I still think its iresponsible to conduct business in such a matter, and they should have at least contacted me regarding the order status, rather than me having to press them for info. Had the holster I wanted been availble elsewhere, my order would have been cancelled long ago. AS it stands now, every day I'm waiting is one more day I'm unarmed, as this was the first "concealement" holster I purchased after recieving my permit at the end of November. I never thought it would be MAY before I was actually carrying on my person.
