awesome customs.
love the vaquero w/ lanyard ring...
all very cool
Thanks!
The first one started life as a beater 6.5" Blackhawk .357. Jim Stroh fitted a new Douglas barrel, rechambered the cylinder, tightened everything up, did an action job (~2lbs), added the custom front sight, custom basepin and refinished it in matte hard chrome. It has antique paper micarta grips by CLC.
The second one just has quilted maple grips by CLC.
The third one was a stock Bisley .44Mag that David Clements did an action job, tightened it up, adjusted headspace, removed barrel warning, checkered ejector button, added custom sights, Belt Mt. #5 basepin, freewheeled cylinder, and refinished it with Turnbull case colors. It wears grips I got from Ebay.
The fourth one began as a 4 5/8" stainless Super that I converted to a Bisley. I later sent it to Clements for warning removal, action job, custom front sight, Bowen target rear, roundbutting, Bowen lanyard ring, freewheeled cylinder, crescent ejector, Belt Mt. #5 basepin and American holly grips by CLC.
The last one was worked over twice by Clements. It was a 5½" Bisley Vaquero .45Colt that was tightened up, tuned, action job, freewheeled, warning removal and a dovetail front sight installed plus ivory micarta grips by BluMagnum. Few years later it returned for his proprietary pre-war S&W style adjustable rear sight, barrel cut to 4½", custom front sight, blackpowder bevel, roundbutting and lanyard ring.
