Just wanted to see what hangun you guys shoot the most. I know these things may go in cycles, but do you have a gun you always seem to go back to? Or maybe the one gun that is always a staple regardless of the new ones you have gotten?

Pics encouraged.

Mine is a S&W 5906. Perfect range gun for me. Shoot shooting, reliable, accurate, high capacity.

I like this one...

Yeah it goes in cycles for sure. Also depends on what I feel like reloading, or not.

Lately I'm back into .38spl punching paper and this one gets range time for that.

Normally some kind of double action revolver. Like one of these:

But I'm also competent with a Glock or 1911. The Smith and Wessons just make it easier to get all of my brass back and reloading .38 Special is about as dead simple as it gets.

PS: Really can't wait for the Ahrends' grips I ordered to come in for the 586. Smooth tacticals in maple. But maybe I'll put them on the M-18 instead, it has a nicer finish (and the cocobolos are on the 586 so I can shoot it right now).

You can usually find my High Standard Sharpshooter .22 in my range bag along with one of my 1911's and one of my 3rd generation S&W autos.
Today it was the HS .22 and both my M&P40's. {since their new} I'm sure I'll be back to my usual gaggle after the "new toy" syndrome wears off.

The handgun I shoot the most is my carry gun, I ALWAYS make it a point to practice with it when hitting the range or shooting at a friend's place. I love all my handguns and try to give them all somewhat equal shooting time, but shooting and practicing with my carry-gun is important to me. My 5906 is just barely seen at the top of the photo, GREAT gun! I can see why the OP shoots it the most, it is a real joy to shoot. Very solid and reliable and the weight makes recoil absolutely pleasant.

Also, I am liking that this thread is pic-heavy so far!

I don't like the most the one I shoot the most. My home defense gun is a S&W 4043 and I shoot a lot of rounds through it. I have a CHL and carry a Walther PP and shoot it the second most, but it both hand, right hand, left hand. My FAVORITE gun is a CZ82.

These two without question considering no mater what I go to the range for I shoot my .45s last. Open carry and CCW buddies

My most used pistol would have to be my Browning Buckmark .22 target pistol because I use it every monday evening at my gun club for Bullseye shooting. I usually fire about 800 rounds a month through it.

I'm shooting revolvers more and more just so I don't have to pick up my brass. Usually a S&W 686 or a Ruger Redhawk.

This one:

Ruger SR9-C

I've got about 500 rounds out of it since I bought it last June, great pistol, really easy/nice to shoot.

I usually take a pretty wide selection of handguns to the range when I go, but more often than not I bring my 500ES.

1911s in 38 Super and 45 auto by far, followed by several S&Ws in 357 mag. About 3500 rounds this year just in these three calibers. :)

I've probably put the most rounds downrange with my Taurus PT99, but lately I've been shooting my two Smith 686's a lot.

It isn't my most accurate, definitely not the prettiest and it is a plain jane dime a dozen glock. But it is ridiculously fun to me, particularly when shooting reactive targets during dynamic shooting. I was once a real glock basher...now the 19 is the one pistol I own that I'd never sell.

I'm a revolver guy so that's what I shoot the most. It's hard to pick just one because I shoot a lot and I shoot several handguns at each range trip.

If I had to pick just one it would probably be a 4" M686. (or maybe a S&W M&P) (or maybe a S&W Chief's Special) (or maybe...OK I'll stop now!!)
