I’ve used my revolver wrenches for decades now without a problem for all of my 36 and 44 caliber revolvers. However, the wrenches I have for my rifles will not work in a revolver, as the head is too big to fit on the notches in the cylinder housing the nipples. But, if the wrench is built for a revolver, it will work for all 36 and 44 calibers, regardless if it's a Colt or Remington.
I use nipple wrenches from Track of the Wolf. They make their own. Their revolver wrench fits all my C&Bs. I have two...one in my guncleaning box and the other one in my range box.
