If any of you happen to remember, a good while back I started a thread about looking for a nipple wrench for a Antonio Zoli Zouave rifle... Long story short haven't been able to find one yet.
Mine has a #11 nipple installed on it, the patchbox contains a musket nipple.
My #11 nipple wrenches do not fit the nipple, also got a musket wrench with hopes that it would fit, it was close but no go.
I tried to dremel out some sockets to fit, and while they were close, I couldn't get them to fit properly. Have made wrenches before for revolvers and that was a bit easier to do.
The nipple head is square with rounded edges, got some pictures to show what I mean below. Measured the head with a caliper and it came out right around .250".
Anyone know where I can get a wrench that would fit it? Did some searching and found a wrench by a company in europe that sells Zouave wrenches and they won't ship to the U.S. VTI has a 'Pedersoli Deluxe' wrench that looks like it might fit because it has a square head, so I may try that if I can't find one in the meantime.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated, pics are below:

I'm thinking a 1/4" ignition wrench will fit...

I bought a tiny metric open end wrench to fit the nipple on my Perdersoli P1853 Enfield. It is much sturdier than a normal nipple wrench. About five or six bucks on the big auction site...
I'm gonna look into that, thanks

desmobob: You sir, are a genius.
Went to the tool box and was lucky enough to find a 1/4" mini wrench, tried it on the rifle and the nipple came right out.
Only took me 2 years to figure that out, wow.

Now I finally came make a video on this gun.

Any of the major supply houses should have T handle wrenches to fit standard musket nipples. Your Zoli should have the old standard thread nipples with standard dimension flats on the nipple. Everything, including the flats, on newer muskets is metric.
