Glock guys: stupid question re: .40 and .357 followers

I have never noticed a difference. But I use the .40 magazines in both and seldom the other way around...sheer availability and cost being my reasons.

Maybe I'll find the time to go out and do a more scientific study.

The Lone Wolf website lists different followers for certain 357 Sig models, specifically part no. GLO-1009 for the 10 round magazine for models 31 and 32 only. Part no. GLO-1028-5 is listed for models 22-24, 27 and 35.

I don't own any 357 Sig specific magazines, but those marked "40" have worked fine for me through a couple of thousand rounds of 357 Sig cartridges..

I'm pretty sure my FNP factory mags are stamped .357/.40.

The cost is low enough that you could buy some extra followers to have on hand in case you do end up having issues. But you said you haven't had any issues yet, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Theyre always going to be available even IF a ban is put into place, so you could just hold off too.

I use both Glock .40 and .357 Sig Glocks interchangeably. Never ever had a problem with them in either gun as long as I don't forget which gun is chambered for which round (.357s will load in a .40 barrel but not the other way around and nether way is a good idea.)

I have two guns in .40 S&W and both have slides marked for both calibers, so I have to believe the followers work for both calibers.

The followers are different, but they will work with either round.

One thing of interest. When using .40 mags with .40 followers, I can squeeze one extra round of 357 sig into the magazine and this is across the board. So it works for 22, 23, and 27 mags.

Here's a rear shot. And yes, the 357 sig followers supposedly help with feeding the 357 sig round. Like I said, I've used them interchangeably with no feeding issues in my end and can squeeze an extra round of 357 sig into 40 mags with 40 followers.
