Hello, I have a Glock magazine question.

I've got some gen 3 Glock 22 magazines. I know you can shoot 9mm out of a G22 mag as it comes.

But if I warned to put 9mm followers in these 40cal mags, which followers could I use? I'm guessing not the orange gen 5 ones. The other followers I've come across have been sort of confusing.

So my questions are: will it improve 9mm feeding through a G22 mag, and which kind of follower should/can I use for gen 3 mags? Thanks!

I've been googling this, and haven't come up with much.

It will not improve it, the feed lips are more on a concern. I have been using standard 40 S&W mags in a G22 converted to 9mm with just a barrel swap. Pretty reliable. Never had a issue. I would try it without it first.

I've got plenty of 9mm mags. I just have the 40 cal mags laying around not doing anything. They don't feed 40 very good, and the followers are real chewed up.

Will gen 5 orange 9mm followers fit in a gen 3 mag?

I understand that 9mm will feed from an oem G22/G23 mag, but I want to put 9mm followers in them. I'm not going to be shooting 40...

Unless the world ends, and I can only find 40 cal, which would be a nightmare because I hate 40. It's like either be 9mm or 45acp, stop trying to be both...

It was my understanding that there were caliber specific followers for glock magazines. But I do not know how important they are for correct functioning.
