This thread is a place to confess the ridiculous prices you have willingly paid for gun-related things since December. Maybe next time there is a panic we can look back on this thread to remind ourselves what it feels like afterwards...

I'll be brave and start:

Smith & Wesson Optics Ready M&P15: $1100 + tax :barf:

525 Round pack of .22LR: $29.99 :barf:

Your turn. Vomiting optional.

$0.10 each for 1k once fired LC empty .223 brass. Thats about twice what I should have paid.
$600 for an sks-m paratrooper. Thats not so bad as it is a rarer version that was built to take ak mags
$265 for 1k 7.62x39 ammo.
$4.70 each for 100 packs cci smp primers....bought 12 or so 2 at a time, lgs limited.

$17.99 two days ago for a fifty-count box of the "White Box" Federal 115-grain 9x19mm FMJ stuff. At the same time, I also bought a 40-count box of "American-something (Eagle?)" .22LR, at $3.99. That would have placed it at ten bucks for one hundred at that rate.

I participated in the magpul CO airlift to the tune of $200. Does that count?

Drove 60 miles round trip to trade some primers small for large?

$840+$35 (sh)+$60 (FFL) for a "used" H&K P30 v3 9mm AK date code.
to be fair the "used" is 100 rounds through the gun.

are we counting all overpriced purchases, or those that you could have waited for and gotten cheaper but thought you "had to have"?
If you have since shot it or put it to use, imo a "walk of shame" isnt really appropriate.....life happens, if you needed it and used it.....but if it was "just in case", or "might not be available later" and now you are cringing, watching prices drop, looking at your as yet unused goods sitting on the shelf with those crazy prices listed on the tags....flame on, lol

boy I tell you what, not the best market to be coming into flush with income tax return money.....Its tempting to overpay when you have the ability, but in 6 months the used market will be much more in my favor :)

Wife bought me $60/100 .223, discovered they were reloads.
50 round box of 115gr Magtech 9mm for $16.95
2 100 round packs of Remington golden .22lr for $6.99 each.

I haven't been buying much, or shooting much. Shotgun shells are still pretty reasonably priced, so I'm thinking if picking up another shotgun.

$115 for 2 45 rd. Bulgarian AK74 mags.Really the first 45 rd mags I've seen for sale.I bought 'em at the Richmond Va gun show.I've been looking for some for years.

5 x 20 rd. .308 MagPul mags ($215) for the brand new S&W M&P 10 ($1650)....now or never 'panic' buying. :scrutiny: :cuss:

Good thing i already had plenty of .308 ammo for the Remington 700... buying that amount these days would have bankrupted me.

$45 for a box of 525 .22lr is about the worse price I paid. It was the only ammo I can't reload.

The last ammo that I bought was about 2 months ago right before the shelves went bare, but a good month into the panic - a box of 50 Blazer Brass .45ACP for $25. It can usually be found on sale for $19 around here when panic isn't hitting. I felt a little silly and went home and reloaded 50 rounds of .45 ACP to make myself feel better.

I also bought a Glock 20 magazine when I finally found one online. I think I paid $40 plus shipping. That hurt.

Everything else gun-related that I've purchased since the panic started has been parts and accessories that have not been affected by price gouging.

Check Armslist TN tonight. The same thing-or worse.

There seem to be many more sellers than buyers. Apparently most of those sellers underestimate the potential buyers' intelligence,
or overestimate their desperation.

23.99$ for a box of 50rnd american eagle .40 180gr FMJ. it was the last box of .40 in all of town and I had just gotten my tax return and was getting my wife a mag pouch and wanted something for me. Silly me I thought when I got home.

My shame comes from the other direction.

I sold 1650 rounds of Federal Bulk Pack 36gr HP's for $328 delivered on GB. Couldn't believe it went for that much.
