How about a thread to celebrate guns with a few miles on them.

I'll start:

Colt Police Positive - N.Y.S.T. marked

Ruger Security Six

S&W 28-2 (sporting new grips)

(Not a revolver, but it fits the theme) CZ 75 transitional.

How about a fitz special with a bit of age - Gun was made in 1912 , not sure when converted. Still a good shooter and action is solid. It has a few miles on her .

1955 Smith & Wesson M&P 38. A fine shooting revolver.

Not a revolver, but...1924 Parker Trogan 12 ga. This one has been refinished, and there is a small repair in the forearm, but it locks up tight as new.

Thats a sweet looking Blackhawk, some guns look better with wear on them.

Heck, this is too easy. Most of the guns I buy have lots of 'miles on them'.

There is just a little bit of wear on this little gem.

No blue left on this one at all.

Not too much blue left on this one either.

Not much blue left on the cylinder or barrel of this one.

How's this one for a little bit of honest wear and tear? It was dredged out of a pond in Central Park in New York City. Bet it has quite a story to tell. No, I don't own it, it used to be on display in the park. I guess Mayor Bloomberg didn't want to give visitors a bad image of the city, because it is no longer on display.

This one was shipped to the Army in the last week of 1917. This particular one was not refurbished for WWII.

According to the guy I got it from, this one also saw some time in South East Asia. Can't confirm that, but made for a cool story.

Still locks up like a bank vault and shoots like a laser beam.

Honest wear plus mileage...

Colt Cobra (yes, really, a long barreled Cobra!), with Venezuelan Federales marks, re-imported into the US by Century Arms in Vermont, purchased by a retired Air Force officer in California, and now a member of a Missouri family.

ElToro,

What a great old warrior! It's really got character. Can you tell us a little about it?

My Colt Detective Special that has seen better days. (got it like it is)

Colt-02s.jpg

My 1948 S&W M&P which was carried for 30 years by a local Constable.
I was lucky enough to buy it directly from him in 2009. (pictured with a 1975 M36)
